Never Thought

It was a sight that Coreen never expected, especially after the magic that Vicki unleashed three nights ago.
She had meant to gather her materials for a rather potent spell, but was shocked to see Vicki’s door open.
Nudging it open slowly, she then noticed the open window.
A low light flickered within the room, inviting Coreen to at least take a peek.
She held the door, praying that the hinges didn’t give her away.
The candles, over two dozen of them, illuminated the room and surrounded the two figures in the middle.
She could see a slumbering Vicki, sprawled half-naked over rumpled sheets.
The shock was the hands wandering over her body, pale and strong.
Coreen’s breath caught in her throat.
It was Henry.
Who had made it quite clear that he wanted next to nothing with her.
Well, even vampires had feelings.
And apparently three days was what Henry needed to figure out how to reverse Vicki’s spell, despite his loathing black magic.
From what she could hear, he was murmuring lower than she could hear.
Henry gently guided Vicki’s legs apart, Coreen could feel the blush rise, and adopted a place between the female’s legs. He knelt, made a searing pass low over her center, up the line of her body, and bared his fangs as he reached her wrists.
Coreen’s eyes snapped wide as he moved back to his kneeling position and used that twice-damned dagger to slit his wrists open, pouring what looked like similar herbs into the wound.
She slid to the floor as the power flashed through the room, snapping the blinds and extinguishing half of the candles.
She never expected him to spend the rest of the night with his head pillowed on Vicki’s chest.
Where he could hear her unpoisoned heartbeat.
