When he was to become Fuhrer, Roy had already decided what he would implicate aside from the miniskirt idea that he was not so fond of anymore.
Hostage Training.
That would be one of the first things that the newer soldiers would need to learn, he realized as he muttered behind the cloth jammed in his mouth, only to gag on the mere taste of it. His ears picked up the sounds of approaching footsteps as he looked up past the spotlight and into the shadows surrounding him.
So cliché of a situation and once he realized that his captor was stepping into view, he went into a state somewhat akin to stark terror.
Curves and soft lines didn’t help as his captor spoke to him.
Most women talked rather lightly around him, but only one had that certain inflection that he had come to memorized.
First Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye.
Twin black eyebrows rose as he dared to glare from his position.
She was in so much trouble once he got out of his bindings.
Apologetic brown eyes glanced at him before kneeling behind him and releasing the gag. Keying the mike hanging from her neck, she then responded to whomever she had on the other end. “He’s awake.”
Turning around to face her, he decided to tip his head back and look at her square in the nose. “Unless this is a prank, and it’s a damned good one, ha ha, I’m humiliated already, now release me!”
“Many apologies, sir. But this is necessary.” She added more emphasis on her “is” then was really needed, but her frown faltered as she saw his glaring at her in growing irritation. If she had been more brazen, this opportunity could have presented more then just inappropriate actions, but she would have been able to test the theories of the sergeants at the water-cooler. Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she lowered her head to field of his glare.
“Release me, Hawkeye.”
“Sir, I’m sorry, but I can’t.”
He scowled. Sure, she was asking for forgiveness, but she sure as hell wasn’t sorry. Opening his mouth to speak, he was cut off by her fingers on his lips.
“And besides, threatening me in your current position, will only bring pain to you.”
A faint blush dared show itself across his face as she tilted his head into a normal position and let him glare at the shadows of the room.
This was more then humiliating, he realized as he watched her shadow slide around him and join its brothers back in the edges of the room. “Dammit, Hawkeye, don’t tell me you’re enjoying this?!”
White teeth bit their owner’s lip as she killed a grin, but didn’t answer.
Actually, she found that since he said, “don’t tell me,” that she wasn’t planning to either. A weaker woman would have given into the black eyes that turned strangely liquid as he apparently decided that ordering her around wasn’t going to work, but she could only hold the laughter that threatened to bubble up in her throat.
Too good, she figured as she watched him squirm.
Now if only he’d realize that he was tied with yarn.
