Dreams
He knew that she dreamed. He often watched those dreams as a way to get an insight into the current investigation and it was the easiest way to get Mai to communicate anything with him as well.
In waking, she was too busy calling him a narcissist.
In waking, he was too busy teasing her to anger, partially because it was rather fun to do. It was also rather fun to feel her aura spike in anger, filling his own greedy aura with energy that allowed him to tease her all over again.
Now, if only the monk would stop with his groping. What was it with monks and women that the former couldn’t quite seem to keep their hands off of the latter?
If it came to pass, he’d make an effigy of the monk and destroy it too, if his actions towards Mai got out of hand.
Kazuya was serious about this. Dark eyebrows slanted down and furrowed as he watched the monitors for the living room.
Mai was leaning against a wall watching John commence an exorcism.
Kazuya was watching Mai.
If she flinched, he’d mark it down.
If she started moving, then he’d contact one of the other psychics to join in the fray.
If she passed out, then he’d move in himself. Because if she passed out, then Mai was at her most vulnerable.
