Scent

He had switched colognes again. It was the only way she could explain the smell of his room as she came in to wake him from his too long beauty sleep. Something in the air smelled incredibly heady, she had smelled it once in the bathroom after he came out all red-faced and looked so relieved that one day.

She could smell that again as she walked up to his bed slowly, quietly, as not to scare him awake, because when he was scared, he was angry.

When Izumi was angry, he always insisted on reminding her just who was the man in the room.

The smell was getting stronger, flowing into her nose and numbing her brain into this wonderful sense of “nothing could happen that would piss me off right now” before carrying her to the bed to wake up her “master.”

She saw that he slept bare-chested this time around. When they were alone, he was so much more comfortable sleeping like the man he was, often joking that she was the woman that needed to keep him warm at night instead of silicone breasts. She would always blush and hit him in some manner and then she’d smell that.

That was swirling around her as she sat gently on the edge of the bed before grabbing his shoulder to shake him awake. “Izumi-sama, it’s time to get-ACK!” Her greeting was cut off by a pair of brown eyes snapping open and an arm jerking on her own, pulling her to the bed and clamping around her to keep her there.

Hikaru froze as she felt the hot breath on the back of her neck as the lips feathered across her skin. “I’ve got you.”

Yes, he most certainly did, she realized as she found herself maneuvered beneath the blankets and turned around to face a pair of sleep-filled brown eyes.

“And I don’t plan to let you go either,” he said with an awful air of finality, one leg lifting to drape over her own and the rest of him settling back to sleep.

Hikaru felt the warmth of skin and realized that not only had he slept bare-chested, but he slept entirely naked!
